You will receive FREE our monthly publication, The Call Letter,
originated
in 1974 by our founder, Bob Bilbie and our first president Harley
Perkins.
Through several editors and with the assistance of numerous members the
Call Letter has continued to be a publication that both informs members
of the society's business and that has supported the hobby of
collecting,
preserving, and restoring vintage radios.
Meetings
Society meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month. From 8:30 to 10:00, there is an informal radio swap
time we refer to as the "Tailgate Swap". Be sure to come early for the best deals and always watch the FREE table where someone's junk is another person's treasure. The actual meeting then
convenes at or about 10:00 for the purpose of displaying radios (a
featured type every month), conducting Society business, and exchanging
information. Sometimes there will be donations to have an informal auction at the end of the meeting to raise money for the club. Twice a year, usually in May and October, there is a radio show and sale that takes place in lieu of a regular meeting.
Guests are welcome at all Society meetings and functions (except
board
meetings). Other Society functions include guest speakers, auctions,
radioshows
and radio sales which are advertised in the Call Letter and are held in
the Portland area.
