The Northwest Vintage Radio Society holds monthly meetings at Abernathy Grange Hall in Oregon City at 15745 South Harley Avenue.
Meetings begin at 9:30 am for the purpose of displaying radios, conducting society business and exchanging information.
At 8:30, we have a tail gate swap of radios and radio related equipment. Don’t forget to check out the stuff on the Free Table!
Guest are welcome at all society meetings and functions except board meetings.
The Northwest Vintage Radio Society (NWVRS) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) educational membership organization that is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of vintage radio and antique wireless equipment. NWVRS is the oldest antique radio club in the Pacific Northwest made up of a diverse group of radio collectors and restorers of antique radios, televisions, test equipment, memorabilia and related gear.
To bring together persons interested in the preservation and restoration of historical, antique, or old-time radio apparatus.
To preserve the literature and history of radio broadcasting for the benefit of its members.
To promote the social exchange of information and education between members and to educate the public at large.
The NWVRS club has meetings on the second Saturday of every month at the Abernathy Grange Hall on 15745 South Harley Avenue in Oregon City, Oregon. Meetings convene at 9:30 am for the purpose of displaying radios, conducting society business and exchanging information. At 8:30 am, members come early for a tailgate swap. Society meetings periodically include guest speakers. Twice a year, we hold our Radio Show and Sale at the North Lombard Eagles Lodge in Portland, Oregon. The public is welcome to all club meetings and events.
Annual club dues are $25.00 and include a monthly newsletter, The Call Letter. This informative newsletter informs members of the society's business and supports the hobby of collecting, preserving and restoring vintage radios. The NWVRS club will periodically organize radio displays and educational presentations in and around Portland.
Next Show and Sale
Saturday, April 9th 2016 at the North Lombard Eagles Lodge in Portland, Oregon from 9 am to 1 pm. Near the end of our show, we hold an auction to raise money for the club. Members and guests always manage to find such fun things at great prices.
We will allow the public to place items in the auction with reserves and only charge a 20% fee. (10% for club members) This fee will only be charged if the item sells and meets or exceeds the reserve limit.
